The
Lana Lou Lane Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog is THE
bull dog from the South Georgia Alapaha River
region. The dogs were family members and used
during the plantation days as watchdogs and for
working livestock. The LLLBBB is athletic, intelligent,
possessive, protective and defensive. They are
the "down to earth" dog for the family
and are excellent with children and other animals.
The true bulldog, bred by Lana Lou Lane, is of
varying colors. Preferred colors are Blue Merle,
Brown Merle, or Red Merle all trimmed in white
or chocolate and white. Also preferred is a glass
(blue) eye or marble (mixed brown & blue)
eyes. Today's dogs range in weight with the males
averaging 80-125 pounds and female averaging 60-110
pounds.
